Oh, faster fire rate may be true, but you have to hold onto the projectile the whole time, meaning longer ranges it has a much slower fire rate. With not much else to spend your nanites on, what else are you going to buy? However, grenades can be bought quite easily (Med/Sci has them). I can't really think of a time that gravity would be a factor in what I'm using, I don't really think there are many parts where you would be trying to mortar an enemy. Or, you could use the Grenade launcher, hit him with a couple of Incendiary grenades from a range to either kill or weaken him severely. I'll do another quick check just to make sure EDIT: They don't deal toxins, unless the damage is a toxin damage instead of normal damage? I'll admit I never actually cared to check that). (Also, in my time using the launchers, they never gave me toxins, so those anti-toxin items are still useless. Rumblers are half-annelid, meaning you would have to take them on with Annelid mode, meaning reduced damage, or take them on Human mode, meaning potential to hurt yourself. Swarms are pretty scarce(and harmless, just a few seconds lost), not worth taking a weapon just to destroy them. ![]() A subcutaneous ICD (S-ICD) is another option that's implanted under the skin at the side of the chest below the armpit. The implant procedure requires invasive surgery. I don't play with mods, so those buffs aren't available. There are two basic types: A traditional ICD is implanted in the chest, and the wires (leads) attach to the heart. Let's ignore that a Modified 1 TC-11 gains a bugged +100% damage towards Frag grenades. I mean, if you're only looking at raw numbers, then sure, VP sucks. SCP even adds a handful of buffs like beakers giving 50% more worms, and the VP gaining a Damage-Over-Time poison effect. More overall ammo in the game, made even better with Modified 2's ammo cost. Can be manually detonated (the only way to destroy Annelid Swarms) Now these useless anti-tox items aren't looking all that useless anymore. In the event you DO blast yourself on accident, as you yourself has said in the first point, you have Toxin Hypos at your disposal. ![]() Concerning the VP, the only risk is Human mode, which isn't even that much of a risk considering you're likely only to fire at Shotgun / Grenade hybrids.
